Garden Tower 2 Overview: A vertical, rotating garden system growing 50+ plants in just 4 square feet, supporting 200+ plant varieties. It includes a built-in vermicomposting tube for natural fertilization, is made from durable, food-grade, BPA-free plastic, and is ideal for small spaces like patios, balconies, and apartments. Usage & Placement: Works year-round, indoors or outdoors, and fits tight spaces like balconies, rooftops, and patios. It maximizes space efficiency by covering existing ground gardens or replacing them with vertical planting. How It Works: Plants grow in multiple levels of pockets; kitchen scraps in the central tube turn into compost via worms and microbes, enriching the soil. A top-down watering system ensures even hydration, while excess water is collected as nutrient-rich tea for reuse. Who It’s For: Ideal for urban dwellers, eco-conscious individuals, busy professionals, families, and health enthusiasts looking for fresh, organic, and sustainable homegrown produce. Why Vertical?: Vertical gardening maximizes space, increases yield per square foot, reduces maintenance, provides better soil and water control, extends the growing season, enhances sustainability, improves accessibility, and adds aesthetic appeal—all while integrating composting for a closed-loop system unmatched by traditional or hydroponic methods.

Pays for itself within 6 months

The Garden Tower 2 can help you make your money back within six months by significantly reducing grocery bills. The "Food Freedom Experiment" tested the effectiveness of the Garden Tower® 2 by growing various vegetables and herbs in a small space. The results showed that the system successfully supported healthy plant growth, produced abundant yields, and efficiently composted kitchen scraps. The experiment highlighted the Garden Tower® 2 as a viable solution for sustainable, compact gardening, especially for those with limited space.

Higher Nutrient Value, fresher organic produce

The Garden Tower® 2 has a low maintenance continuous vermicompost column. The soil surrounding the column provides steady moisture and temperature for a resilient worm habitat. In 9 months of use a Garden Tower® 2 can recycle >50 gallons of organic kitchen scraps, turning nutrient rich organic waste into organic food!

Good food, Less space
This is my second garden tower and honestly I want a 3rd but I’ll have to wait. You can grow so much in this attractive garden tower. The composter works great and keeps the plants healthy!

Tower 2
Winter here and lots of snow but looking forward to starting prep soon. I love the tower itself and I am planning for lots of herbs and fresh vegetables. Very satisfied with the design and all the possibilities.

LOVE This vertical growing system
I have purchased two garden towers. I gifted one to my daughter to get her garden going. I have grown vertically- hydroponic for about 10 years. I can't wait to share this with friends and neighbors. In my world, everyone should be growing something. Thank you Garden Tower!

The Brief History of The Garden Tower® Project

On April 19, 2012, the first Garden Tower® project launched on Kickstarter, conceived by Colin Cudmore, Joel Grant, and Thomas Tlusty. The Garden Tower® system allowed home gardeners to compost, practice vermiculture, and grow up to 50 plants in a single barrel-shaped planter. Its built-in water-recycling system provided nutrient-rich water to plant roots, enhancing growth at a lower cost and smaller scale than a full garden.

Best garden I've ever had
I am so pleases with how well my plants are growing! I was worried about not having enough space, but they are growing well. I used to have problems with rabbits eating my garden, but being raised, its not a problem!

Brand new to tower gardening!
I’m experimenting with all kinds of things! I feel like a child in school, and my family can’t believe it’s brought me so much joy. I have one bean plant that has more flowers than a whole grow box could have. My bad knees, and the ability to rotate the whole tower have allowed me to sit and nurture my plant babies! I am thrilled with my purchase!

Fresh healthy food Garden Tower style
I have 3 of them and love them! The convenience of no weeds is a huge bonus. The variety of what grows so well in these towers is unbelievable. One tower is all salad greens and celery. The other is green beans, Swiss Chard , banana peppers and jalapeños peppers on top. The 3rd is a mixture of extras!!

Fun, easy, and homegrown goodness!
I’m definitely loving my Garden Tower 2. Thanks to my wife for the early and awesome Christmas present. Here’s some beans and kale that I harvested today for making dinner. It doesn’t get any more fresh and local than this! Thank you Garden Tower Project for this amazing product!

Grow to the Max
I'm so amazed at all the wonderful plants coming in. We started from seeds and everything is coming in beautifully. We put worms, compost and water. Everything is looking beyond awesome.

Best Planter Ever!
When my mom was dying, I bought the garden tower and not planting it at first, as I was caring for my mom. When she passed, a few days later I planted it. Then had to leave for 6 days to attend her funeral out of state. I came home and my tower had flourished. This happened in only 2 weeks!! I highly recommend!

Fantastic in a Limited Space
My two Garden Towers have served me very well as part of my urban driveway garden! I've been growing a variety of greens in my towers which stand compactly at the head of my two driveways. The worms stay happy and cool in the center of the tower and have produced rich compost to benefit my plants. Thank you for bringing gardening into the reach for us who inhabit condo land!

Master Gardener Approved
Design and construction is excellent. They’ve thought of everything! Easy to assemble and maintain. Uses very little water. Plants and worms are thriving. I am having a great time with it and thinking about getting another one.

Get One for Yourself NOW!
I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered my Garden Tower 2, but I’m so glad I ordered it anyway. The Tower needs minimal maintenance: water, rotation for sun exposure, kitchen scraps for the worms, and everything I planted is thriving! Very sturdy construction. I don’t have to worry about it blowing over in the wind or not surviving a storm. 10 out of 10 would purchase again!

Great fun! Great Gift!
The Garden Tower 2 is amazing. I was given a Tower for Mother's Day/birthday one year ago. Construction, planting and maintenance is so easy. I put my Tower on the back patio and could "watch it grow" as I looked out the French doors. So much color, beautiful plants and literally our garden salad right outside of the back door. I have enjoyed my tower so much that I bought one for my daughter this year for her birthday. Enjoy your tower!

Novice gardeners dream!
I’ve never planted nor gardened a single thing in my life. I jumped into the deep end with this project and couldn’t be happier. My garden tower is thriving! I’ve even got a happy worm ecosystem existing in there as well. I’m going to buy this as a gift for family at the holidays. Look at all the growth after only a month!!!

Love It!
I thought I would mess it up, but it’s working out great!
