Are your plants starting to go lean? Join resident Garden Tower ®2 Vertical Gardening System expert and master gardener Kristi Armes as she demonstrates how to stake and trellis plants.
This video was originally broadcast on Facebook Live on May 6, 2018.
Kristi’s Top 4 Tips for Trellising and Staking:
- Place 6’ long stakes as close to the base of the plant as possible, but be careful not to damage the roots.
- Create a lattice of string using “soft ties”, since they won’t cut into the plant.
- Smaller 3’ stakes can enter the pockets at an angle.
- Make sure you leave room in which to rotate the tower!
